oh... well... um... thanks Snog!. Well done. By the way, does the exclamation point have to be there everytime Snog! is written? Are you compensating for something with that? Well, Blog is going to give out some week 6 awards, and then provide you all with a fascinating 6.5 week recap of our draft... you know you're thrilled.
Snot on the Ball DEF Ryan Howitzers 5-3-2
Stud of the Week: Justin Morneau took advantage of playing a bunch in the Wiffle Ball Stadium, but David Wright was the #2 overall ranked player in week 6: 5-0-9-5-.556.
Dud of the Week: Howie Kendrick was pretty stinky, but Jorge Cantu was stinkier: 1-0-1-0-.130.
Bounty Hunters DEF Jobu's Hats for Bats 7-3
What a fabulous ERA and whip Jobu... BH won ERA by over 6 runs! that's gotta be some kind of record. Take Blog's word for it.
Stud of the Week: BH's offense was pretty balanced, meaning no one stood out as stellar. Jake Peavy was very good (ranked 11th for the week), but it didnt' matter. Brian Roberts though was very, very good, so it goes to him, even though his team got throttled: 9-1-4-5-.318
Dud of the Week: So...many...options... Swisher, Braun, and every Jobu starter except Joba all sucked. The suckiest sucker was probably Scott Kazmir though: 0-0-18.90-4.20-5.40.
Regulators DEF Karma Kameleons 6-1-3
Stud of the Week: Again, this award goes to a player on the losing team. Without Raul Ibanez, Karma loses 8-0-2. 9-4-12-1-.481
Dud of the Week: Daniel Murphy and Endy Chavez were both terribly and have since been rightly axed, but the worstest was Chris Duncan: 0-0-0-0-.077, who somehow still has his job...
Legends DEF Bobz Boyz 5-3-2
Stud of the Week: Jimmy Rollins, welcome back: 8-1-4-3-.333
Dud of the Week: Not a lot of offensive dudness, but Andy Sonnanstine cost the Boyz ERA: 0-0-31.50-5.00-4.50
Swine Nine DEF Needs a New Team Name 6-3-1
Stud of the Week: 3 of the top 10 offensive players and the top pitcher from the week were in this matchup: Halladay was awesome, Hawpe was the highest rated, and Bartlett was swell too, but Adrian Gonzalez did it for the winners, hitting homers in 5 straight games. Of course, he hasn't had a hit since, but we'll save that for the week 7 review: 6-5-7-0-.292
Dud of the Week: Robinson Cano was not so awesome. 1-0-1-0-.143
Player of the Week: What do Pujols, Longoria, Bay and Kinsler have in common? They're all ranked behind Raul 'The Rascal' Ibanez: the top offensive player in the game right now, fantasy wise.
Pitcher of the Week: Like I said, Roy Halladay was awesome.
Manager of the Week: The only team that Regulators would not have beaten at least 8-2 this week was Karma Kameleons...stupid schedule.
